Creator Branding Checklist
Developing a sense of self and figuring out who you really are is challenging, especially for new and upcoming creators, we get it.
That’s why we’ve gathered some great tips to help you define your unique and personal style.
DEFINE WHAT IT IS YOU REALLY STAND FOR
You are special and your music matters, therefore, before anything else you need to make sure you know what you stand for, what your artistic values are, what are you communicating, why and who are speaking to?
UNDERSTAND YOUR STRENGTHS AND DEFINE A USP
There is a crowded sea of creators working in the Music Industry, but being different will help you stand out in the long run.
Let your uniqueness shine through and figure out what it is that makes you special. Is it the genre or the instruments you play? Your live shows? Is it the way you interact with your fans?
If you’re still struggling with finding what makes you irreplaceable, here are a few more examples: the style of your music, your target audience, and the purpose of your music.
AIM TO CREATE A COHESIVE LOOK
Never fear. Dare to find a style that is yours, personal, and will remind the public of you, perhaps you might want to pick a particular look, or never before seen outfits, that other creators in your genre wouldn’t usually wear.
As Lizzo once said, “I finally realized that owning up to your vulnerabilities is a form of strength.”
Don’t be afraid to show up authentically, take time to explore what makes you, you, your principles, the impact you want to make on the world.
Your music is your legacy. So be clear, be intentional, be consistent.
Always remember to be your true self. Be confident in your choices and your nature. You will find out that people feel more in tune with creators who are unapologetically themselves.
Ultimately, you will have more chances to make an impact when you remain authentic and true to yourself. There’s no one else like you - never lose that feeling.
