Utopia Music, the Music fintech company, has announced the appointment of Tracy Maraj as Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO), responsible for shaping and leading the company’s people strategy. Maraj will be based in London, UK, and will lead Utopia’s People & Culture team, reporting directly to Utopia’s CEO Markku Mäkeläinen.


Maraj will be instrumental in supporting Utopia’s hypergrowth by building a people strategy underpinned by diversity and inclusion that enables the company to attract, hire, develop and retain the best talent, while creating an experience that delivers continuous learning and career growth for Utopians.

Tracy Maraj brings breadth and depth of experience as a Chief People Officer from a career spanning leadership roles in the Financial, Technology and Music sectors, and in high-growth companies from pre IPO through to large corporations. Maraj was most recently at Mews, an innovative hospitality management cloud platform. Prior to this, she was Chief People Officer at Native Instruments, a leading manufacturer of software and hardware for computer-based audio production and DJing. Maraj has also held senior people leadership roles at Netscape, Salesforce, Cisco Systems, and Intel.
